TGIF!

So glad that today is Friday because after this weekend we start getting ready for our big trip to Utah & Idaho. I hope that things are getting better for you at work :) I don't think you miss us - you have a track across the street and your RC cars - I think you are pretty much set! Jk. I look forward to seeing you though. Things have been pretty boring around here. Tonight I am going over to Ang's house to hang with the girls and Drake will be swimming. Dillon is having fun in Utah - shopping with all the ladies of course. I plan on giving him a call this evening. Tomorrow I have a wedding with Jennifer. Sunday I have a few things planned - photo shoot and getting paint to finish our room. Other than, really nothing is new. Looking forward to having some cool weather out there.

Love you lots.

DIL LEAVES :(

I am about to get in the car to drive Dillon to Judy's house before your grandma picks them up for the flight to Utah. I have a few minutes to write since I was unable to write yesterday (sorry). The DirecTv guy is here fixing the receiver so hopefully we will have a working tv upstairs now for the kiddos.

Dillon said that he is going to miss me. I laughed and said "you're going to miss me yelling at you all day?" And he said yes. Glad to know that he loves me even when he is in trouble. I am going to miss him though. He is just going to stay there until next Wednesday when I leave with Drake.

I don't really have much plans for the rest of this week. Tomorrow I am going to go over to Cheri's house and help her go through all the stuff she received at her baby shower. There is still so much she needs so I thought I would help her. Then we are probably going to get dinner together. Friday I am going to have margaritas with Ang and Melanie :) Much needed after a long week - haha. Saturday I have a wedding and Sunday I am taking Melanie and Brandon's pictures. So I guess I do have a lot planned in the end.

I hope you have a great day and I love you.

ps...The directv guy appreciated your rc track in the backyard very much :) I know this will make your day!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

Hey Babe....Happy Father's Day! Odd to spend Father's Day without you here....but the boys still made you pictures and I have a card for you when we see you in two weeks. I decided I am gonna head out to
Utah on the 30th and then follow your parents up to Idaho on the 3rd. Glad that I will get to see you! The boys and I went to see Toy Story 3 and I loved it. Drake fell asleep (movie ran into his nap time) and Dillon I think got slightly bored. Then we came home and hung out before I had a photoshoot. I grabbed some pics of the boys afterward and I
think they are some of my favorites. Since they were so good for me while I took pics of my clients, I treated them to a small toy at the store :) I hope you had fun playing with your RC cars today...it is probably what you would have ended up doing if you were out here! I love you and goodnight!

DAY TWO: SUCKS

Well, today totally didn't suck even though that is the title of this letter. We started the day out with yummy cinnamon rolls. Drake had two - I let him indulge...I had a bite and well, Dil kind of snoozed because he slept in - so he only got one. It was a busy day with me getting Cheri's baby shower together. It was a lot of fun, seeing as this was the first party I have ever truly hosted for someone. Mallory and I decorated the cupcakes yesterday and I seriously spent an hour tying the damn ribbon on all the water bottles. I guess I'm all about the details. Jason was sweet enough to watch the kids and take them swimming at his mom's house. When I came to pick them up, Drake was passed out with Jason on his bed. It was quite comical :) Then we headed over to Dave and Ang's and went swimming. The kids had a blast. I couldn't believe how crazy Drake was once I slipped on the arm floaties. The kid was jumping in the water and swimming around like he was training for the Olympics. He is definitely "your" child. I drank wine with the girlies and unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that is why my night officially sucks now. You are not here and wine brings out the best emotions in me; so I miss you immensely. It is a different "miss you" than if you were gone to Omaha for a few days. I know you won't be coming back next weekend. It just stinks, especially because it is Father's Day tomorrow too. I decided that I am going to take the kids to see "Toy Story 3" and maybe swing by the lake to hang out. Don't worry, there will be a little surprise for you tomorrow evening on here.

I miss you so much :) I love you much more :) And I cannot wait to see you again the most!

Goodnight my love.

We already miss you....

Dear Mike,

So it is pretty funny to think I am starting a blog for you when I can't even keep up with my business blog. I hope that this stunts my blogging for both :) It was very hard to say goodbye to you this morning and I really don't think the kids even understand the length of time that you are going to be gone. When you were working in Tucson, it wasn't really a big deal...it was only two hours away. Now, you are more than 15 hours away in another state. I hate it! I am already complaining, but I hope that this will help me deal a little better. Sometimes I can't always say the things I want to say or we don't have enough time on the phone. I think I have a better chance of getting it all out here when we don't have time limits or other business calls.

So, life went back to normal after you left...kids running around and being crazy. They decided to have a dance party this morning while we watched Fuse. Dillon actually didn't get embarrassed for once. Drake of course had to dance naked :) Then the kids built a fort. I think they scavenged the entire house for all the pillows they could find. But I didn't care because they are getting along and that makes me a happy mommy.

I plan on taking daily pics for you and I can't wait to plan our first road trip to visit you already. I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished, not only at your place of work, but as a husband and father. I love you :)

Talk to you tomorrow...your wifey
